About the Role
As a Deli Kitchen Assistant, you will support the daily preparation and execution of our deli menu, during the weekend shifts. Working closely with the Deli Kitchen Chef, you will play an essential role in maintaining the quality, consistency, and flow of the kitchen. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on, working with quality ingredients, and learning within a structured yet creative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and production of the deli goods
Support daily mise en place and preperation execution
Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation standards
Help maintain an organised and efficient kitchen workflow
Assist with stock organisation and ingredient handling
Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
Support cleaning, storage, and general kitchen upkeep
Collaborate with the deli kitchen team and wider Saint-Jean team
Assist with basic prep across sweet and savoury items when needed
About You
You are motivated, reliable, and eager to grow in a kitchen environment.
- Interest in cooking and food preparation
- Experience in a kitchen is required
- Hands-on, proactive, and willing to learn
- Organised and detail-oriented
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented with good communication skills
- Interest in plant-based cuisine is a plus
Availability
Saturday and/or sunday - Flexible and open to work extra week day shifts if needed
Start date: ASAP
